BinderIQ frequently asked questions
Straight answers about scanning, pricing, plans, graded cards, and what BinderIQ does with your data.
Does BinderIQ work with graded slabs?
Yes. Labels from PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC are read when you scan, so the grade and cert number are captured without typing. For PSA and BGS slabs, the cert number is looked up and the grade, population count, and sub-grades are filled in. CGC slabs open CGC's own cert page. Raw card prices exclude slabs, and separate tabs show graded sales for the same card.
How many cards can I add for free?
100. The free plan tracks up to 100 cards for as long as you like. Premium and every plan above it remove the cap.
Do I get free identifications?
Yes, 3 with every new install. After that, Premium includes 10 AI identifications a month, Pro 500, Ultimate 1,500, and Unlimited has no cap.
What does each plan cost?
Free: 100 cards and 3 identifications. Premium: $0.99 a month, $9.99 a year, or $19.99 once for life, with 10 identifications a month. Pro: $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year, 500 a month. Ultimate: $12.99 a month or $129.99 a year, 1,500 a month. Unlimited: $19.99 a month, no cap. Every paid plan removes the 100-card limit.
Does it work offline?
Mostly. Scanning, OCR text reading, organizing binders, and the duplicate check all run on your device with no connection. AI identification, the parallel checklist, price lookups, and PSA or BGS cert lookups need a connection.
Is my collection backed up?
Yes, through iCloud. Your binders sync between your iPhone and iPad using your own iCloud account, with no BinderIQ account and no password. Only changed data is transferred, and card images download on demand.
Can I export my collection?
Yes. Export to Excel or CSV, with the card photos included, from within the app.
Which sports are covered?
Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and soccer are the focus. Entertainment cards (Marvel, Star Wars, Disney) and Formula 1 work the same way, and the parallel checklist covers those plus UFC, golf, and other racing.
Which card games are supported?
Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Lorcana, using the same scanner, with prices from TCGplayer and completed eBay sales.
How does the parallel checklist work?
BinderIQ carries the manufacturer's checklist for 1,651 products from 2019 to 2026: 105,802 parallel rows, 79,710 with a print run and 5,933 with pack odds. Enter the serial number on your card and the list narrows to the versions printed in that quantity, each with its own price.
Where do the prices come from?
Sports card prices are built from completed eBay sales. You see the recently sold figure, the range, the number of sales, and each individual sale. Asking prices from active listings are shown separately and labeled. Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Lorcana prices combine TCGplayer market data with completed eBay sales.
Does BinderIQ collect my data?
No account is required and BinderIQ does not sell your data, run ads, or track you across apps. Scanning, OCR, and the duplicate check run on your device. AI identification, price lookups, and grade lookups send only what is needed for that lookup to our own server, which keeps no copy of the image past the response. The full privacy policy has the details.
