Can BinderIQ scan Pokémon cards?
Yes. Scan a Pokémon card and BinderIQ reads the set, card number, and rarity, then shows prices from TCGplayer and completed eBay sales. The same scan works for Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Lorcana.
What the scan reads
The set, card number such as 188/132, and rarity, with the year taken from the set itself rather than guessed. Rarity is read as printed: Holo Rare, Reverse Holo, Full Art, Illustration Rare, Secret Rare, and the rest. Reverse holo and holo versions of the same card are told apart, and Japanese printings are handled.
Prices
Pokémon prices combine TCGplayer market data with completed eBay sales for the exact card and version identified: a recent sales median, the range, the number of sales, and asking prices kept separate. For a card that exists in several versions, each version is priced on its own.
Other card games
Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Lorcana use the same scanner and the same pricing. A card is a card.
Graded Pokémon cards
Slabs from PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC are recognized and the grade is read from the label. Cert numbers on PSA and BGS slabs fill in the grade, population count, and sub-grades. CGC slabs open CGC's own cert page.
Organizing a Pokémon collection
Pokémon cards live in binders with 3x3 pocket pages, the same as sports cards, and the binder shows its card count and total value. The duplicate check works on them too, so you can check whether you already own a card from a photo at a shop or a show.
